Abstract
This study was attempted to find out the present status of contaminating soil, water, air, vegetables, and fruits by some toxic pesticides residues in Daejeon and Daegu areas during the period from oJune to November, 1973.
This specimens subjected in this study were the residual organochlorine pesticides; ¥á.¥â.r.¥ä.-BHC, Heptachlor, Aldrin, Heptachlor-eposide, Endrin, Dieldrin, DDD and DDT, which could be detected by Gas chromatogram, and LEad and Arsenous which detected by Dithizon extraction method and colorimetry by Sodium diethyldithiocarbamate.
The obtained results are as follows:
1. The highest concentration of ¥á.¥â.r.-BHC was detected in water and the concentration of those in the crops was in order of cucumber, Tomato, Cabbage, and Apple.
2. Heptachlor was detected the highest concentration in soil (0-0.085ppm), trace in water and little in air and the order of concentration among the crops were in cucumber, cabbage, tomato and apple.
3. The ranges of the concentrations of Aldrin, Heptachlorepoxide, Dieldrin, DDD and DDT were each 0-0.032 ppm, 0-0.053 ppm, 0-0.032 ppm, 0-0.005 ppm, 0-0.062 ppm.
And the degree of pollution by those was generally a little.
4. The order of pollution degree by organochlorine pesticides residues among the environment in the sampling area was by BHC, Heptachlor, DDT, Heptachlorepoxide, Dieldrin, Aldrin, and DDD and Endrin was not detected in the almost of the samples.
5. Lead and arsenous were detected 42.7-247.4ppm and 0.92-5.21 ppm in soil, o.01-0.13 ppm and 0.07-1.54 ppm in water and 0-0.01 ppm in air.
However, this concentration of those can not by recognized as the pollution by the pesticides.
